CHINOOK WILDFOWL CARVERS ASSOCIATION
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
To promote interest, respect, appreciation and awareness of wildfowl.
The main objective of the Chinook Wildfowl Carvers Association is to promote
interest, respect, appreciation, and awareness of wildfowl, by exhibiting
and competing with carvings of wildfowl, through its members and guests.
It is our intent to promote interest and protect the status of wildfowl carvers
in the City of Calgary and surrounding districts. And to promote carving as an
art form. Through wildfowl carving we are attempting to promote public
awareness as to the necessity for the protection of wildfowl generally.
It is our goal to create and encourage active interest in wildfowl, through
social gatherings, educational seminars, carving clinics and displays,
competitions of creativity, and through national and international alliances
with other such organizations.

This is an IWCA (International Wildfowl Carvers Association) member show.
* The IWCA is an organization formed in 1988 with a mission to promote wildlife
art and the art of the decoy.
The IWCA's goals are to promote carving competitions and define standards for
divisions and judging. The "Chinook Show" committee felt it was time to
re-establish our links to this organization and its mission by becoming a
member show.
IWCA memberships, for individuals or organizations will be available at the
show,during your registration or directly from the
IWCA.
